DISCOVERY PHASE: RDS/Briefing

From the BA or SA, I get an RDS (Requirements Documents), that details all the requirements for the project/task at hand. We set up a session with the BA (Business Analyst), PO (Product Owner), SA (Solutions architect), etc to go through the RDS and make sure we understand the requirements. To get ready for the Process flow/IA (Information Architecture).

DISCOVERY PHASE: UX (Information Architecture

After the previous phase, I then get ready to create the IA, The flow of the user’s journey for the SA to start his HLD for the developers to know what they’re going to work on in the coming sprint. This will consist of sessions with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that I am on the right track and that the user’s interests are considered.

DISCOVERY PHASE: Wireframing

After the IA is approved and sent to the SA, I will start with the wireframes using Figma to iterate through designs/screen options. Working with the relevant team members to make sure that the Wireframes are up to the business’ standards.

DISCOVERY PHASE: UI

I create the UI screens from the Wireframes, research the correct UI components design on Figma to reiterate the user’s experience and journey with the actual screens they’re going to see, Work with other UX/UI designers, developers, we use the UI screens to discuss product strategy.

DESIGN PHASE: Prototype

After the UI screens are complete & approved by the Design Council (design team who are responsible for ensuring consistency and design quality. We create a prototype for user testing, for presentations to help everyone understand how the platform will work.
